Sim city

I installed the sim city 3000 unlimited game and when I run it i get this error:

[skipper@kompjutr ~]$ sc3u
sc3u: relocation error: sc3u: symbol _dl_global_scope, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

and with the patch 2.0a this :

[root@kompjutr skipper]# sh sc3u-2.0a-x86.run
Verifying archive integrity...OK
Uncompressing SimCity 3000 Unlimited 2.0a Updatetrap: usage: trap [-lp] [arg signal_spec ...]

any idea ??

ok, I got Sim city to work

if anyone is interested, youre supposed to type $bash update_file.run , (instead of sh) and it works

then you have to export this before running sc3u:
$export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5

than the game runs, but the sound is messed up (skipps), anyone knows how to solve that ??

Is this Sim City 3000 being played via Cedega? Or, is there a native Linux client for it. If so, where can I get a copy?

...and this:

http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?gameref=18

Listed as "temporarily out of stock" at about the price I paid them (Tux Games) for it four and a half years ago when it was released. I imagine it'll be no small feat to try to purchase/resell a product made by a manufacturer/porter which disappeared over three years ago (Loki).

I don't seem to have to use LD_ASSUME_KERNEL= (using an up2date FC3 system with kernel 2.6.10-1.770_FC3) when running SimCity 3000 Unlimited with the 2.0a patch.

When running SC3U with the 2.0a patch and everything I get this:

[]$ LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 /usr/local/bin/sc3u
fcntl: Invalid argument
fcntl: Invalid argument
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 141 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 19 ()
Serial number of failed request: 18
Current serial number in output stream: 19

I am using a dual head setup with the nvidia drivers, maybe that has something to do with it? I've tried the -w switch as well and that doesn't help. Any ideas?

You can always try eBay for old Loki games.
