Hello ALL,

Anyone have and good suggestions for software to open .rar files other then commmand line software because some of these files might have file names that have spaces in them if that makes sense?

You do know that if you just type the first few letters of the *.rar file (with spaces) and hit the tab key, it will autocomplete...?

using commandline is ok. some special chars are escaped with the lead of \. for example, the filename is "abc@abc com", you just type:

[aaa@localhost] $ abc\@abc\ com

as brianmsu80 said, using tab is a shortcut for typing all chars...

use file-roller if unrar is installed. It is a great GUI.

Unrar is in the rpmfusion repo http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

after installed you can just right click on a rar file and select extract here..
