Exclamation updated kernel and well it's not good.....

I just updated the kernel using apt-get because yum had a depenency problem, now my ati drivers do not work nor do my ntfs drivers. I just read fedora faq about updateing ati drivers and i guess i screwed up by rebooting before typeing in...
yum install kernel-module-fglrx-`(rpm -q --queryformat="%{version}-%{release}\n" kernel | tail -n 1)`
this is what i get when i type in yum update

This is a dependency issue between gcc and libtool.
