FC3 Bootup -- Stops at Configuring kernel parameters

Hi,
I recently installed FC3 on an older computer to run as a server. but whenever i boot it up, Fedora starts to run until it gets to Configuring kernel parameters. Then it stops, and after a while the screen goes blank. Does anyone know how to fix this?
