Port issues

Does anyone know what command to issue to get the system to listen on port 80? I currently have a dns and mail server, and I'm trying to get webserver running, but so far no luck. i ran netstat and saw that the localhost and also the 192.x.x.x both listening only on port 53.

How do I get it to listen on port 80?

How many computers are on your network and what is the configuration?
Are you behind a router? Are you behind a (Firewail, proxy, gateway) computer?

Applications, System Settings, Security.
Enter root password when asked.
Click on Firewall Tab
Enter in other ports 80:TCP
That will open port 80 on the FC3 pc.

I checked the error log and made some changes now i can see it using the local network IP (192.x.x.x), but can't access it by name. also, when i try to add something to /var/www/http/ it still shows the test page. and i've commented out the welcome.conf as well. any ideas?

That's a different problem but it seems like you need to set up the default page to link to the content?
(You can have several formats and I can only guess that they have some order of preffence.)

Make sure when you add the content you "cp" the files (not 'mv') in root (SELinux context.)
