errors when I try to install "medley-package-config" with "apt-get"

Hi,

I am having the following problems when I try to install "medley-package-config" with "apt-get"

See the error message below:

Code:
# apt-get install medley-package-config
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package medley-package-config has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
E: Package medley-package-config has no installation candidate
What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks, I-1

It seems one way to get this behaviour is that you added a repo to /etc/sources.list at some point (ATRPMS in this case?), apt-get read what was available and stored that, then you removed ATRPMS from /etc/sources.list? Now when you ask for a package from ATRPMS, apt-get has heard of it but cannot get to it because the repo is no longer listed.

In that case, examine /etc/sources.list and see if ATRPMs is still listed.

This is what it says:

Code:
#rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net fedora/linux/3/i386 core updates
rpm ftp://ftp.uninett.no/pub/linux/apt fedora/3/i386 core core-updates
rpm ftp://ftp.uninett.no/pub/linux/Freshrpms ayo/fedora/linux/3/i386 freshrpms
rpm http://apt.physik.fu-berlin.de fedora/3/en/i386 at-stable
Is this correct?

Thanks,

Dunno about "correct", but the last line seems to point to an ATRPMs repo.

But when I look in

http://apt.physik.fu-berlin.de/fedor...t-stable/RPMS/

I do not find medly-package-config. Is it possible your howto is obsolete?
