website up...now what

Hey all...I just got my server up and running again...I've been really busy with school and all and haven't had time to work on it...but now I got it up and runnin and was just wonderin what the best FREE website composer is to use...I used Microsoft FrontPage to originally build the site but as I soon found out(and was told numerous times on this forum that Frontpage sucks...alot of the content wouldn't publish right since I couldn't get the frontpage extensions on my server...anyway...if ya'll could help me out...AGAIN...I'd really appreciate it...just check out my website...www.albertsonracing.com and you'll see what I mean when I talk about alot of the content not working...again...thx for your help

I dont do alot of web developement, but when ive had to i just used a text editor, for this i don't mind gedit, as it does highlight tags, however for a better enviroment i have heard good things about quanta

Oh please, people are scared of linux since they think it is still black and white,

Even black-white server systems go color like control panels I work on. If you are gonna die, it is ok to use text editors, but not today's world. Otherwise we cannot compete with Microsoft products.

which is why i suggested quanta, i pointed out gedit b/c it highlights your tags so it is easy to use for quick editting

I really like Bluefish (http://bluefish.openoffice.nl/ ) for web stuff.

To install it, type:

I like it when my code is clean, and the only way to do that is by using a text editor, so I can manually type in my code I used notepad in thw windows day's and now I use gedit
