Mouse problems using KVM switch

I'm using a Belkin KVM switch to share my mouse (a microsoft optical), keyboard, and monitor between my two pcs. When I boot my Fedora machine the mouse works fine, but as soon as I switch to another computer and come back, the mouse moves completely randomly all over the screen and clicks on random windows. It works fine on my other computer (which is still running win2k for the time being) if I switch to it, but the mouse wont work properly on my Fedora Core 3 build until I restart it (which I normally have to do by plugging in a separate USB mouse). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this problem?
