Radeon 9800 & 3D

Hello there!

I need 3d support for my video card, I have ATi Radeon 9800, I've tried drivers from ATi site, but when I try to install moodule for 3d support it says that device is not found. I'm afraid that ATi Linux drivers does not have 3d support for my videocard. So here is a question:
is it possible to get 3D to work with my video card? Maybe some unofficial drivers?
