mouse cursor freezing FC 4

I have this unusual problem with FC4 since I upgraded. When I leave my computer alone for several hours and come back the cursor is frozen on the screen. I can usually do Ctrl+Alt+F2 and then a Ctrl+Alt+F7 will free up the mouse cursor. Why does this happen and how can I fix it? Is this a FC4 bug?

never heard of this problem before but since it only happens after you leave the computer for a while it really sounds like a power save problem, like the computer going to into sleep but the mouse isnt 'waking' back up. i would disable the power management to see if thats doing it.
