Display problem with fujitsu-siemens p7010

I have installed FC3 on my laptop, fujitsu-siemens p7010 with 10.6'' LCD. I managed to make the FC3 to support the 1280*768 using the method presented in http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/...916#post160916.

Now I connected an extra LCD monitor (Acer AL1715, 17'') to this laptop. Through changing the content of the file xorg.conf, it worked correctly.

The problem is that whenever I change between the original LCD (10.6'') and the extra LCD (Acer AL1715), I have to modify the xorg.conf file and reboot the computer.

I wonder whether there are some ways that can make the FC3 detect the type of LCD and choose the correct configuration automatically in the booting time.

check this xorg.conf out, I'm not sureif it'll work for you since it is formatted for nvidia stuff but here it is:

nvidia has something called "twinview" that does it.
also, instead of rebooting, you can press "alt+ctl+backspace" to restart just X display system.
