I have the same chipset (look in my sig).
First off you need to get to a windows machine to run that exe. If you've got winXP dual booting on your laptop, you can do it there. When you run that exe, it should extract some files (in my case) to a folder in the c:\swsetup folder (all of which is created during setup).
Right-click the folder containing the wireless setup files and compress it with the ZIP format. Next step you need to get it to your linux partition somehow. If linux can read the XP partition then it should be no problem. If, however, you're on a completely seperate machine, get that file shared on the network. For me the easiest way was to upload the ZIP file to my gmail account or any other email account as an attachment and sent it to myself.
