vPostMaster - superuser password encrypted

I installed vpostmaster, on the very bottom of the installation guide, it sais:

Quote:
* Point your browser at http://SYSTEMNAME/vpostmaster/ where "SYSTEMNAME" is the name or IP address of the system you installed vpostmaster on.

* Log in as "superuser" with the password you find in the file "/usr/lib/vpostmaster/etc/superuser".
when i CAT the superuser file, it sais the following line:
superuser password is: fc7a8bea

when i open the web interface in my browser (which runs on a different computer), i get the login screen; but the password doesnt work.

i asume that the password is encrypted and that i have to enter a different password that it actually tells me to.

this is very confusing. i have no clue how to log in.

PS: every time i run the setup (which stops and starts the services) it puts a new password in the superuser file.

also i find the following error message when running the setup file:
Quote:
postgresql: unrecognized service
grep: /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql/data/postgresql.conf: No such file or directory
etc.......
i dont know if that has anything to do with it though.

i just want to run an email server, if there is a different program i should use, let me know; although i find vPostMaster attractive so far.

thank you for your time

I just installed vpostmaster on Fedora Core 5. I was having the same problems, and have found that the SELinux is what is causing the problems. When I disable SELinux, I can log in just fine. You might want to try that.

-> Security Level Configuration
-> SELinux
-> Disable
