can't print anything in color

Hi, running FC3 with a HP Deskjet 812c. Fedora automatically set up my printer and it's fine for printing text, openoffice, etc. However if I want to print a webpage from firefox, it won't print in color. I had a problem trying to print with the gimp, but i selected my printer from the drop box and it will finally print pictures, but not in color. I just went out and bought a new color print cartridge, thinking that might be the problem, but still no luck. When I had XP on my computer instead it printed in color just fine. Any suggestions?
