Setting up logical volume management .. no volumes found

Hi,

on boot, I get this message everytime it somehow it's annoying.. So I want to remove it.
I found it in /etc/rc.sysinit and I know I could easily comment that out.

However, I don't really like changing such scripts, so where do I disable the process that triggers it?

Mat

btw, I tried %yum remove lvm2 but it wanted to remove almost the whole system

"Setting up Logical Volume Management /dev/hdf: open failed: No medium found"

To get rid of this annoying message, edited /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
Code:
    # Exclude the cdrom drive
    # filter = [ "r|/dev/cdrom|" ]
    filter = [ "r|/dev/cdrom|", "r|/dev/dvd|", "r|/dev/hdf|", "r|/dev/hdd|" ]
