Unhappy usb stick problem with fc4

Hi, im hoping someoen can help me with this problem which is;

everytime i plugin my usb stick, fc4 creates a new device which gets anoying since i dont want the same usb stick creating and using a new device everytime i plug it and unplug it. Here is a screenshot of what happens each time i unplug and plug it in, this is the same usb stick i do not have multipel usb sticks plugged in.

I have read on the internet of soem people using a combination of autofs for fixed drives and supermount for removeable drives such as cd-roms and usb sticks, but i worry that these to might conflict in fc4 and have read of warnings that they do conflict. The other way ive read was to lower the unmount time on idle to stop this from happening and to creayte a device pointer with a name to prevent duplicates though i don't really understand teh concept of how to do this, most of the tutorials i have read have been difficult to understand or have not shown how it all fits together or where the device pointer file is stored.

can someone please help me with this by either showing me an exampel of files you woudl edit or at least a easy to understand tutorial on how to do it for a person who has come from windows XP Pro and has some knowledge but not alot on using DOS.

Do you unmount the USB stick before you unplug it? I'm using FC4, too. Every time I stick in my SD card, it creates the same device, "/dev/sdc1", and map it to /media/usbdisk.
