Removing s/w to free disk space

Hi, as a recent convert to FC4 I installed almost everything from the DVD onto my laptop, the only problem is now I'm at 79% disk used.

I don't want to go back and do a fresh re-install and I don't want anything to break, as a n00b it's taken me quite a while to get this far.

I've tried yum remove (e.g.) gattaxx but get a nothing to do message.

How can I remove all the stuff I don't need? And how do I know it won't break anything I do?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Use the Add/Remove Software app that is located in System Settings.
