i seem to have broken my yum. I followed Smf's guide (great guide thanks) originally, but on my new AMD64 install I just copied the old file across from my old /etc
now I'm getting
[root@ORION yum.repos.d]# yum update

I've done a 'clean all' and the wget's. What I don't understand is what repomd.xml file yum is looking for.
My confusion may stem from not understand wget properly. The comands
wget --cache=off
http://apt.sw.be/fedora/4/en/i386/da...lelists.xml.gz
wget --cache=off
http://apt.sw.be/fedora/4/en/i386/da...primary.xml.gz
wget --cache=off
http://apt.sw.be/fedora/4/en/i386/da...ata/repomd.xml
wget --cache=off
http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linu...ata/repomd.xml
appear (to me) to import 2 repomd.xml files to the local directory, in which case the freshrpms one would overwrite the former. Probably something else is going on here.
any help appreciated
