vsftpd help!!

Hi

I've just installed vsftpd into my FC4. the build is vsftpd-2.0.3-1

Has anyone come across this problem? I have no problem connecting to the FTP server.

1. I cannot upload to or download from some directories, even the user's home /home/myuser directory. I thought it's the filesystem permissioning, but even when I chmod 777 on 'myuser' directory, it still doesn't work. It tells me "553 Could not create file"

2. I cd up to /home, I don't get a listing. I cd to /var/www to view my web directory I don't get a listing. It tells me "226 Transfer done (but failed to open directory)"

3. I cd to /tmp I can upload and download from THAT directory

4. I cd to /etc/vsftpd hoping to download the vsftpd.conf to post into this forum and I can't download.

I've never had this problem with the previous FC builds. can someone enlighten me? Has FC4 implemented some new security measure which I have overlooked?

Thanks!

D.

well I know FC 4 added more Selinux daemon protection, might want to open up the selinux control panel and see if there is some sort of setting there......
