Totem Movie Player

I have intalled fc-4.There is default totem movie player which doesnt work.
Should i resinstalled it how.
I want to insatall vlc player (which player is best),Please tell me how to intall it.

Is there any bs player for linux (like bsplayer in windows to see subtitles).Please give details.
