What is the most recent kernel anyone has gotten 3d to work with a 9800 and FC4?

Did you get your drivers from ATI? I am using yum as my main method of updating.

Ok, I found the problem:
When I was updating, yum was not updating the smp kernel version (which I was booted into) just the base kernel version. Once I did a yum install on the smp kernel version of fglrx and ran the fglrxconfig, everything worked great!

I wonder why it only updated the base kernel and not the one I was booted into??

When you update the kernel, you have to update the SMP one seperately. Try 'yum update kernel-smp' .
