sound doesn't work now for xmms
I'm not sure how it happened, but xmms cannot find my ESS Solo (ALSA) soundcard now. I don't see ALSA as an option for I/O plugin. How do I fix this?

EDIT: I built MPlayer a while ago and that still plays sound.

Is the mixer running? Speaker by the clock. Is it muted by chance? Sorry for the dumb questions, however we must start somewhere eh?

nope-none of the sliders are down or muted in the mixer. I'm using XFCE, BTW. I typed kmix and saw that all was ok with the mixer.
