Which FC am I using? FC1, 2, 3, or 4?

Ok I'll bite, open a terminal and type in
Code:
 rpm -q kernel
and that should tell you which version you are using.

Thanks for the info. That one gives the linux kernel version:

kernel-2.4.22-1.2179.nptl

but I still do not know which FC it is.

At graphical login, press
ctrl + alt + F1
Read the title. It should say. To get back into graphics, push
ctrl + alt + F7
