Angry Monitor Not Dectected

Does anyone know how I can make fedora core 5 test 3 detect my Dell Monitor. It seems to be telling me unknown monitor fatal error no screens found. Also my X server fails to start because it cannot detect my monitor. Anyone??

My Computer Specifications are:
250GB Hard disk
1024 RAM
ATi Radeon X600 (256MB) Video Card

It seems to detect the video card but not the monitor
