Sendmail or postfix and dns help!!

I have domain and it works fine on dedicated server fc4 however i can't setup mail to deliver messages i get mail returned with theese error messages:

554: Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname ........ - server ip adress here .

Is there a step by step guide to clearly show procedures to setup mx record also my dns is'nt configured correctly as my BIND is off but still my domaim works fine on the net....


Weird - sorry but i'm really new to dns and mail settings therefore please explain it to as simple as possible!!

You should add your MX in the DNS !
If you don't have DNS server, you should configure it with your domain provider...
