F25 Released on 22nd November 2016, F23 End Of Life 20th December 2016
Nov 18, 2016 - 3:05 PM - by antikythera
Fedora 25 Release Date Announced

After yesterday's GO/NO Meeting it has been announced that F25 is GO for the 22nd November 2016. Full details here.

If you are running the Beta and have kept it up to date you do not need to re-install. The GO image is final compose 1.3 (RC ISO files ending 25-1.3.iso) so if you have those saved you also do not need to download fresh copies. They will be rolled out across all mirrors over the next few days in preparation for the release.

NVIDIA brands this as 'Optimus', and AMD just as 'Switchable Graphics' or 'Dynamic Switchable Graphics'.

There are some enhancements to... [Read More]

Dirty COW - Patched Kernel Fedora 24 ISO images
Oct 28, 2016 - 11:34 AM - by antikythera
Many thanks to Ben Williams for his continued work with respins using only the official Fedora kickstart files. His latest set of respins contain the kernel fixes for the Dirty COW vulnerability. If you need to do a fresh install or want to share Fedora with a friend, these are the best images to go for especially as they also contain compatibility fixes for Intel Skylake hardware.
