Joystick support for non joystick games on Linux

Hi. I read about applications on Windows & Mac to give joystick support for non joystick games. But I did not find for Linux.

Are there such applications on Linux ?

Please - if there - the best of them.

Check out the RetroPi project, it's mainly for running retro games through emulators etc, however there are definitely ways of using joysticks for old atari games etc that would probably have what you need.

Hi. Thank you very very very much !! But it is NOT QjoyPad ! This project died at 2010. However, I searched it in Fedora repositories & I got this:

    https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/antimicro

This is the continuation of QjoyPad. It's page is decomented by Fedora packages into an old one. But this old page have demonstration say the new page for this project. The active page for the project "antimicro is:

    https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro

Glad you found something. Qjoypad may have ceased development but it is fully functional (at the mo) and is well worth a whirl if you need it

Ignore me - tired and misread your comment

I never expect such success with this project ! It is beyond my imagination ! Very advanced options & very easy to use & never failed !

Of Linux games in Fedora repositories, 3 of them I love too much are treated by this program:

    1) Lugaru HD
    2) Scorched3D
    3) cave9

Now, it is time to mark this issue as "solved". I recommend this very excellent project. It is also very effective for Windows game installed over WineHQ. It never failed because it work as translator for joystick buttom into keyboard key as you desire.
