Post Recording Screencast in F10 KDE

I needed a screen recorder software for Fedora 10. I installed 'Istanbul' from Fedora repositories. Went about making my first screencast but the results were not quite as I expected.

The videos I recorded were very laggy & fail to bring in my quick onscreen movements. Was this due to my hardware?

The specs are,
P4 2.0 GHZ
Zebronics 7300 GT 512 MB DDR2 AGP 8x Graphic Card

I am running Fedora 10 with KDE Desktop.

Running Fedora 20 KDE :)
